Why DLC is being established?

ITA’s DLC is being established to fulfill the global trend which considers Distance Education the educational revolution of this age in all education stages (Pre University, University, and post-university levels) all over the world.

Rapid revolution in information technology tools and telecommunication inventions has been contributing to the distinctive development of the Distance Education Programs.

Increasing desire in getting university degrees among the Egyptian and Arab individuals who are not capable of or do not have the time for joining the regular traditional governmental universities.

Success of the Open Education System [OES] (tailor made courses at flexible times) in some Egyptian Governmental Universities (for example, OES at Cairo University and Am Shams University).

Availability of the information technology and telecomm-unication infrastructure in Egypt in association with the increasing trend of the majority of individuals to possess personal computers and use the Internet.

Possibility of establishing programs in association with Universities that benefits Programs in Egypt.
